Jake Tribus is currently an Artistic Associate dancing with Gibney Company in New York City, and is represented by MSA Agency NYC. He is a graduate of the University of Southern California’s Glorya Kaufman School of Dance, with a BFA in Dance and a focus on Philanthropy and Arts Administration. Jake grew up training at CC and Company Dance Complex in Raleigh, North Carolina, under the direction of Christy Curtis; he also trained as an Apprentice at Next Generation Ballet in Tampa, Florida, under the direction of Peter Stark.

Jake has performed on stages including: The Joyce Theater, NYC (with the USC Glorya Kaufman School of Dance), The Shed, NYC (with William Forsythe’s A Quiet Evening of Dance), and the Kampnagel International Summer Festival, Hamberg, Germany (with Aszure Barton’s Where There’s Form). Additionally, Jake has performed on stage with: Lorde’s Melodrama World Tour, Travis Wall’s Hollow Suit, Kirsten Russell’s Fell Only Once, the 2018 Gala de Danza, Capezio’s 125th Anniversary Celebration, the Fred and Adele Astaire Awards, and the World Choreography Awards.

Screen performances of Jake’s include: the Backstreet Boys’ Chances music video, Taylor Swift’s Look What You Made Me Do music video, dancing with Billy Porter on The Late Late Show With James Corden, the Dirty Dancing television remake, a duet with Travis Wall at the 2017 Emmy Awards, and the Discover Los Angeles commercial for the LA Tourism and Convention Board.

Jake has performed in repertoire including the works of: William Forsythe, George Balanchine, Crystal Pite, Jiri Kylian, Paul Taylor, Aszure Barton, Victor Quijada, and Dwight Roden. Additionally, he has performed in pieces choreographed by: Travis Wall, Sonya Tayeh, Tyce Diorio, Mandy Moore, Tessandra Chavez, Andrew Winghart, Christopher Gattelli, Kayla Kalbfleisch, Andy Blankenbuehler, and Martha Nichols.
